Transmission Line Design For An Armenian Mining Site

Services Provided:

  • Developed a legal assessment and report on the existing legislation for designing constructing and operating a long interconnection by a private firm.
  • Analyzed the electrical demand for the mine, the processing plants and auxiliary facilities in order to properly design the interconnection to the network.
  • Developed a proposed route, developed a design for conductor and towers along the route.
  • Completed a geological assessment and report on the route.
  • Identified the location for a transformer substation (high voltage to low voltage) and designed the substation.

All work was completed using international standards.

The site for this project is isolated from both the distribution and high voltage network. Despite these geographical challenges, a new line was required to bring power from the high voltage network to the proposed mining site.
