New legislation replaces old legislation or resolutions/decrees/orders and new international treaties often require new legislation to implement to the treaties. Regulatory accounting provides the basis for cost-of-service, tariff setting, license monitoring, and sanctioning for licensees. Our team has supported regulatory bodies in establishing regulatory chart of accounts, accounting policies, accounting procedures, conversion tables, and reporting forms, As a follow-up, our team has provided implementation support to the regulated utilities as they convert from their past accounting process to regulatory accounting.
